A safe, confidential space to work through what matters.
Everyone's recovery journey is different — that's why individual therapy is so central to the care we provide. Healing starts with being seen, heard, and supported. Whether you're just beginning treatment or continuing a longer journey, one-on-one counseling is a cornerstone of our addiction therapy programs.
Private, in-depth, personalized guidance.
Individual therapy is a private counseling session between you and a licensed therapist. In addiction treatment, these sessions focus on how substance use has affected your life — and how to build a healthier path forward. Unlike group therapy, individual therapy allows for more in-depth conversation and personalized guidance. Our therapists are experienced in addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and work with you at your own pace.

Part of a full continuum of care.
We start with a full clinical assessment to understand your history with substance use, any co-occurring mental health diagnoses, and any past trauma or life stressors. From there, we set therapeutic goals — behavior change, emotional processing, relationship building, and relapse prevention strategies. Your therapist collaborates with other members of your treatment team, including medical staff and group facilitators, so individual therapy is always connected to the bigger picture of your recovery. Sessions are usually held weekly during residential treatment, adjusted based on your needs.
